Decision details

Shepway Sports Trust will provide free sports and activities programmes throughout all school holidays. We will target families on low incomes and those using local foodbanks and free school meals. Every child participating will receive a free hot meal every day. Our aim is to support young people and families who are going without meals.

To provide funding of £200 to the above project.

Reason for decision:

Statistics are showing that locally and nationally that young people who access free school meals are far more likely to go without and if it is not the child it is the adults who will go without. This programme will address this need and also enable young people to participate in activities alongside their peers.
