Purpose:

On 7 March 2019 the Overview and Scrutiny Committee considered the call – in of decision number 18/076relating to the informal consultation on proposals to extend controlled parking zones F& G. The Cabinet Member for Transport agreed to carry out face to face surveys with residents of Garden Road and Walton Road, where the results of informal consultations were indeterminate.

Decision:

1.        To receive and note report C/19/07.

2.        To note the results of the further informal (door knocking) consultation in Garden Road and Walton Road.

3.        That based on the result of the door knocking surveys, the proposals are not progressed in the entire Zone F proposed extension but a further review be carried out in a year.

4.        That the proposals for Zone G extension be progressed to the statutory consultation stage as originally recommended in report number 18/076.

 

 


Reasons for decision:

The cabinet member is asked to consider the results of the recent face to face consultations in which residents in Garden Road and Walton Road were asked again whether they were in support of proposals to introduce parking controls in their road.
