Electrical Supply for Christmas Trees - Feeder pillar to complete the electric supply to the tree at Meriden Park and installation of electrical supply and feeder pillar to tree on land adjacent to the Golf Club.

To provide funding of £250.00 to the above project.

Reason for decision:

Over the last 10 years the lighting of the Christmas Trees has enhanced our hamlet during the festive period and brought the community together at a ceremony to switch on the lights. In the past the supply for the lights has been provided by car batteries which have to be changed regularly once a week and a permanent electrical supply would provide a better means of power (as it has proved at the Meriden Park tree). Over time the trees have become much larger and power is not as easily provided via batteries as it was when the trees were small.
