JAM

JAM on the Marsh – Building on 2018’s photography project, JAM intends to run a 7 month weekly photography course at the Romney Resource Centre, anticipating 10 students from across the Marsh, led by the Arts Award accredited photographer Susan Pilcher.  The aim is for low opportunity 16 – 25 year olds to achieve a Bronze Arts Award.  This is recognised as a GCSE pass.  The course involves tutorials and workshops with professional photographers and monthly shoots on location.  Over 7 months the students will work with local businesses nurturing future work potential.  The course will culminate in a public exhibition in JAM on the Marsh in July 2019 and a Bronze Arts Award for successful students, leading to Silver and Gold for those who continue.
