Boat and canoe licences

You must have a licence if you wish to use a rowing boat or canoe between Seabrook Outfall and West Hythe Dam on the Royal Military Canal

Before you start

You must also have public liability insurance.

If you're a member of British Canoeing this is included in your membership.

How much it costs

  • £30 for 3 months
  • £48 for 1 year
Canoe licence
  • £19.50 for 3 months
  • £29.50 for 1 year

Download, complete, and return the relevant application form with payment to the address shown on the form.
