LED Lighting Project – The community centre are trying to save costs on energy use and after consulting a recommended contractor have been advised that by implementing LED lighting the centre would save up to 65% on costs. 

DECISION:

To provide funding of £1000.00 to the above project.

Reason for decision:

This project relates to installation of LED lighting at Hawkinge Community Centre.  A survey has been conducted and it has been estimated that the centre could save 65% of its electricity costs.  The centre is run by a charity and does not make a profit it relies on operating costs being covered to keep the centre running for the community activities.
