Scout Hut repairs – to undertake essential repairs to the guttering and downpipes of the scout hut, which have been vandalised. Works will ensure rain water does not penetrate through the timber walls of the hut.

To provide funding of £490 to the above project.

Reason for decision:

The scout hut provides a base for all the Lyminge groups (beavers, scouts, explorers) and also the Lyminge Rainbow and Guides. It is also for all their equipment and provides meeting space for other activities such as executive groups, exercise classes, football club and other events throughout the year. The hut is used almost daily by one group or another. There are currently approx. 50 local children involved in the in the Lyminge scouts/guides. The hut is an essential base to enable this activity to take place.
