Decision details

A food bank of fresh and non-perishable food available to targeted families within our school community and nay family who is in need at any time. We also offer cooking sessions as part of the change 4 life scheme to help families prepare healthy meals.

To provide funding of £200 to the above project.

Reason for decision:

Our school is based in an area of deprivation and has a transient community. 30-40% of our children speak English as an additional language. 37% receive free school meals. We have 4 Syrian refugee families with children in this school for whom the funding has stopped but the needs continue. Some of our British born families are living in conditions of extreme hardship.
