Improve health and wellbeing – To allow people of all ages and disabilities to enjoy a day trip out.  Inclusion is important, the transport needs to be equipped for disabled access.  A day out lifts spirits and gives members a change of environment.  Group members has increased significantly in the last three months. 

To provide funding of £580 to the above project.

Reason for decision:

The Romney Marsh is a rural area and it is beneficial to have a club that provides friendship and support, reducing isolation and loneliness which in turn promotes physical and mental wellbeing to all ages and disabilities.  Bingo, quiz nights, and guest speakers add variety and interest to the group.  The local community warden visits regularly and provides advice on security and local information which improves community awareness and provides signposting to welfare and safety agencies.
