Arts Activity and Outreach Programme - The grant from Cllr Monk will bring match funding to support an application for project funds to Arts Council England to bring funding to Folkestone, Cheriton and the wider district to support delivery of arts and other activities for people whose lives have been affected the Covid pandemic.

To provide funding of £1000 to the above project.

Reason for decision:

The Covid pandemic has severely affected the quality of life of many thousands of individuals in the Folkestone and Hythe district and Strange Cargo aims to develop a programme of workshops that can reach groups and individuals and to offer

activities that can be accessed by anyone who wants to join in and to actively support and enhance the quality of people’s lives.

· Arts, and culture, including libraries, museums and heritage

· Sport, leisure and physical activity organisations

· Financial wellbeing, advice, food and practical support

· Environment and nature-based organisations

· Non-statutory health and care organisations, working with social prescribing link workers
