Hackney Carriage Fares

Report DCL/22/38 considers the responses from the statutory public consultation regarding the proposed increases to the Hackney Carriage Tariff. As objections were received to the original proposals, the Planning & Licensing Committee are required to consider and give final approval to any revised proposals.

Resolved:

1.         To receive and note report DCL/22/38.

2.         To adopt the tariff rates and fees as proposed in the local Taxi Trades counter proposal as set out in Table 1-4 in Part 2 of this report.

3.         To agree to regularly review the Tariff every 3 years recognising that the Trade and stakeholders may highlight issues that may bring forward such reviews.

The Planning Officer informed of a number of corrections to the report as follows:

2.1 Hairdresser should read Surf Shop

3.1 The plans do not show the correct usage of the site but it does still form part of the presentation.

3.3 Planning Statement – should read 21/1854 and not 21/1806.

 

He also informed that the marketing report had no additional enquiries and the site plan within the presentation included the car park layout, previously approved, together with a larger bin store which could accommodate commercial use.
