The current waste, recycling and street cleansing contract ends in January 2021. A report was taken to cabinet (15/11/17) that set out the project scope for preparations for the next contract/service arrangements. This included the recommendation to work with the East Kent Waste Partnership on an options appraisal exercise. This report summarises the outcomes of the options appraisal exercise and makes recommendations about how the project should proceed in procuring the next service arrangements.
