1ST LYMINGE BROWNIES

Girlguiding UK have developed a new ongoing programme to meet the needs of today’s girls and young women, building on our heritage and bringing Girlguiding into the modern world.

New programme resources have been developed for the volunteers to deliver the new programme to the Brownies aged 7-10 years.

Girls will be encouraged to work towards the following subjects:

· Know myself: local history, my rights

· Express myself: communication, innovation

· Be well: grow your own, first aid

· Have adventures: archaeology, Space

· Take action: charities, speaking out, zero waste

· Skills for my future: inventing, live smart

All these subjects lead to up to 18 individual badges and up to 24 group activity badges.

Girls require individual new books.

Leaders also require a copy of the book and laminated resource cards for repeated use over the next

10+ years for new girls who join every term.

The Project is to purchase these new resources.
