Conservation and heritage

Undertaking work in a conservation area, to a protected tree, or listed building, applies additional constraints

Instead of protecting an individual building, a conservation area seeks to preserve the character of a whole area
It's a criminal offence to extend, change or demolish a listed building without listed building consent
A TPO prevents cutting down, uprooting, topping, lopping, wilful damage or destruction (including cutting roots) without our consent
