Preferred Gypsy and Traveller site allocation

As part of work on the Places and Policies Local Plan, the Planning Inspector has directed the council to identify a preferred site allocation to meet the requirement for permanent Gypsy and Traveller pitches in the district.

The consultation will run from 2 September to 17:00 on 14 October 2019

You can make comments online through the consultation portal or by downloading the representation form above and sending it to the Planning Policy Team.

All documents and representation forms are available to view in all district libraries and the Civic Centre during normal office hours.

Comments submitted online will not appear on the consultation portal immediately, but will be published when they are processed at the end of the consultation.

Next steps

After the close of the consultation, all representations will be passed to the Planning Inspector overseeing the examination of the Places and Policies Local Plan for his consideration. The Planning Inspector will then advise on the timetable for the final stages of the examination and issue his final report.
