Change in circumstances
It is important to tell us of any change in your circumstances which may affect your business rates, for example if:
- you change address
- your property changes from being empty to occupied (or vice versa)
- the Valuation Office Agency changes the rateable value of your property
How to tell us about a change
Complete the Business Rates - Change of circumstances form
In order to register for Business Rates we will need to see a signed copy of your lease agreement. Please provide this to us along with your company/charity registration number or (for sole traders) a copy of your photographic ID. If you have purchased the unit and do not hold the lease please provide documentation confirming the sale date.
What happens next?
We will re-calculate your business rates and send you a new bill.
