Grants and funding for district businesses

There are a number of different schemes operating which businesses across the district may be able to access for funding.

Rural England Prosperity Fund

As a result of central government funding, Folkestone & Hythe District Council has £350,000 available to provide capital grant funding for both businesses and community projects in areas classed as Rural locations. Click here for further details.

Green Business Grant Scheme

Folkestone & Hythe District Council has introduced a Green Business Grant Scheme to help smaller businesses become more energy efficient. Non-repayable grants of up to £10,000 may be available to businesses, to cover up to 40% of a total project cost.

Romney Marsh Business Hub Equipment Grant Scheme

This scheme has been launched by Folkestone & Hythe District Council with the aim of attracting and supporting businesses taking up space within the new business hub. Any business signing a lease to occupy office space at the hub may be eligible  to apply for a non-repayable grant of up to £10,000.

Folkestone Community Works Grant Scheme

Folkestone Community Works programme is investing EU funding with match funding into Folkestone, enhancing the local economy and helping residents on their journey into work.

ExperienceFH

ExperienceFH is a free-to-download mobile app and supporting website providing a new digital marketplace for businesses, residents and visitors in the district.

It has been developed by the council in partnership with technology company bubltown and its launch funded by the district's share of the government's Welcome Back funding.
