Informal Drop-In Session
Come in for a relaxed and informal chat about the elections, becoming a candidate and maybe becoming a councillor. The team, senior officers and current councillors will be on hand to answer any burning questions about their role in the community. A chance to have a look at our district maps and discuss the criteria that is required to stand for an election.
Prospective Councillor Presentation
A more structured event than the previous - Officers will present using slides and information to outline what is required from you, between submitting your nomination and later becoming a councillor (if you are elected). There will also be a chance to ask any questions.
Elections Processes
Online and presented by the Democratic Services & Elections Manager and Deputy Returning Officer, they will go through the process of completing a nomination paper, key dates and deadlines and links to useful information.
Candidate & Agent Briefing
If your nomination paper was successfully submitted, and you are listed on the notice of statement of person nominated (the people standing for election), you will be invited to an online webinar by the Returning Officer which will outline information regarding specific details of these elections.
