AA – Alcoholics Anonymous

Free group for men and women who share their experiences with each other with the aim to help each other to make a recovery from their alcoholism. If you are concerned about your level of drinking and/or it has reached a stage where it worries you, contact the AA to find out more about their local support. There are several meeting points throughout the week in the Folkestone area. CA – Cocaine Anonymous

If you are using cocaine or want to stop using, this is a free mutual support group providing local support.

Change Grow Live

A community recovery supported housing project offering support to individuals who have a period of at least 6 weeks abstinence from drugs and/or alcohol and are motivated to sustain their recovery: Change Grow Live. Service users are supported by staff and peer mentors 7 days a week and will be expected to engage fully with the projects group programme.

Referral to the project can be by visiting the project in person, telephoning, emailing or by asking a professional already involved in your support to help you. Places are allocated following the referral and assessment procedure.

Forward Trust

Offering a full range of drug and alcohol treatment, no matter what substances are used: Forward Trust. There are packages to support service users across the Folkestone and Dover districts, drawing on the experience of their team of professionals to provide the most appropriate treatment options available. The Hub also offers a needle exchange service. If you are concerned about anyone, including yourself, and want to get help, you can call Forward Trust’s 24hr helpline on 0300 304 8007.
