The stage is set for a thrilling 2023 Folkestone Air Display in August.
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be the first to take to the skies at 1.25pm on Sunday 20 August – with a stirring flypast featuring the wartime Lancaster, Hurricane and Spitfire planes.
Then it will be the turn of the stars of the show, the Red Arrows, who are due to display incredible jaw-dropping aerobatics between 2.20pm and 2.50pm.
But there’s even more after that for the thousands of people likely to line The Leas and head to the Harbour area.
Bi-plane thrills will be provided by both the Stampe display team and the jet-powered Pitts special.
A RAF Typhoon jet will finish off the event with a dazzling exhibition of speed and agility at 5pm. The Typhoon appearance is being sponsored by Folkestone veterinary practice, Abbeywell Vets.
All timings are approximate currently and will be confirmed nearer the time.
Residents and visitors are asked to consider using public transport on the day, but –just like previous years – temporary car parks will be available. Further information will be shared as the event approaches.
Folkestone Festivals is organising food and music along The Leas on both the Saturday and Sunday of the August weekend.
