The future of how residents can get involved in the democratic decision-making process is the subject of a new public consultation.
Folkestone & Hythe District Council agreed to move to a committee system of governance last year, with work carried out by councillors and officers behind the scenes since then.
Once implemented, decision making will take place within politically-balanced committees rather than the existing executive (cabinet) system.
Views on how residents and businesses can engage with councillors and raise questions at meetings are now being sought.
Visit the council’s website to submit your comments before 9am on Wednesday 31 January. Alternatively paper forms can be completed at the Civic Centre in Folkestone during normal opening hours.
An in-person meeting will also be held at the Civic Centre at 6pm on Monday 5 February where residents can come and ask questions about the new structure, as well as share views about how they would like to engage.
All comments submitted will first be considered the Audit & Governance Committee on Thursday 7 March.
