A fantastic open-air sports facility on the district’s coastline has reopened for the season.
East Cliff Sports in Folkestone gives people of all ages and abilities the chance to play while also taking in stunning views over the town and across the English Channel.
The facility is home to eight lawn tennis courts, an 18-hole pitch and putt course, an 18-hole putting green and a six-lane bowling green.
It is open every day from 9.30am until Tuesday 30 September. The kiosk is closed between 11.30am and midday.
Final start times for pitch and putt is 5pm – for bowls, tennis and putting it is 6pm. The site (Wear Bay Road, CT19 6PY) closes daily at 7pm.
Cllr Connor McConville, Cabinet Member for Assets and Local Government Reorganisation, said: “With a big season of sporting events set to inspire everyone’s inner athletic enthusiast, East Cliff Sports is the perfect spot to enjoy the summer months.”
Pre-booking is not required – you can simply turn up on the day. Equipment hire is also available. Please note the kiosk can now only accept card payments.
