There is a whole load of interesting news and information in the latest edition of Your District Today magazine, out from this week.
The free 20-page publication celebrates the successful opening of the new Lower Leas Coastal Park play area and Folkestone & Hythe District Council being recognised as one of the country’s best performing council housing landlords.
There is a special focus on the progress of development projects including Folca, Folkestone – A Brighter Future, Changing Tides and Otterpool Park, as well as proposed leisure improvements at Hythe Swimming Pool and Martello Lakes.
Elsewhere, readers can learn about some of the excellent projects across the district benefiting from the councillors’ ward budget scheme – such as the Royal British Legion Choir and Acrise Environmental Group.
Cllr Paul Thomas sits down for a chat, discussing his love of the Romney Marsh and pride at being named the Chair of Folkestone & Hythe District Council.
And on top of all of that, the magazine has updates on local wellbeing initiatives, a UNESCO geopark application – and the chance to win a Port Lympne Safari Park family ticket.
Print editions will be landing on doormats across the district from this week.
