Scoping Consultation

We are preparing a new local plan for the district. The Scoping Consultation is one of the first steps in preparing the new plan. In this consultation, we are asking for your views on:

  • What the local plan should contain.
  • How we should engage with residents, communities, businesses and organisations throughout the plan-making process.

This consultation does not contain details of proposed development sites. We will set out proposed sites in future consultations as we develop the local plan over the next two years.

The Scoping Consultation can be found on the local plan website

The consultation documents and the statutory notice can be viewed there. Copies of the documents can also be inspected at the council offices and at local libraries and Town and Parish Council offices during their normal opening hours.

The consultation runs until 5.00pm on 16 October 2026.
