The Council has introduced a new service for residents who seek broad and informal advice on their development proposals.
Planning Officers will be available to meet at the Council Offices, on a pre-booked basis only:
- Days – Monday & Friday
- Duration – 30 minutes
- Times available: 10 am until 12:30 pm
This service could provide informal verbal advice on:
- What policies might be relevant to a particular proposal
- How the Council will consider applications
- What you need to be mindful of when applying
- What to submit with an application
- How the application process works
- Whether an application is valid before submission
- Explaining aspects of a neighbour’s planning application
This service is:
- For residents only
- To provide high level, informal guidance
- For pre-booked appointments only
- Subject to the relevant fee as stated in the Fees and Charges (payable at time of booking) Council fees and charges | Folkestone & Hythe District Council
This service is NOT:
- For professionals (e.g. architects, planning agents etc)
- For Town or Parish Councils, or other interest or civic groups
- For advice on whether or not planning permission is required for any development. If you would like the Council to advise on this, you would need to submit a formal application for a Certificate of Lawful Development
