This page is for F&HDC council tenants only. If you are not a council tenant view our home page.
Over the next few months we are planning to revise and update the terms and conditions of our tenancy agreement.
Why does the tenancy agreement need updating?
The terms and conditions of our secure tenancy agreement has not had any significant updates since 2006. Since then there have been a lot of changes to the way we live, to regulation, and generally accepted good practice. The Agreement needs updating to reflect this.

Progress so far
Following an extensive consultation, the final version of the new Tenancy Agreement has been formally adopted.
With effect from 21 April 2025, all new tenancies are being let using the new Tenancy Agreement.
We have written to all existing tenants with a formal ‘Notice of Variation’, notifying them that the new Terms and Conditions will take effect for them from 2 June 2025.
What happens next?
On 2 June 2025, the new Terms & Conditions of tenancy will take effect, and all secure and flexible council tenants will be bound by them.
On or around that date, the page will be removed from the website.
