Policy framework for the initiation, implementation and administration of Controlled Parking Zones
This consultation seeks views on the proposed Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) Policy, which sets out how CPZs are to be initiated, implemented, administered and reviewed across the district. The policy aims to ensure that parking controls are introduced in a fair, consistent, and transparent manner, balancing the needs of residents, businesses, visitors and other road users.
CPZs are an important tool for managing parking demand, reducing congestion and improving road safety. The proposed policy outlines the criteria used to assess the need for CPZs, the consultation process, and operational principles.
We are inviting residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to share their views on the proposed policy. Your feedback will help shape the final policy and ensure it reflects local needs and priorities before it is adopted.
