Our vision for Folkestone & Hythe over the nine-year period between 2021 and 2030 is set out in our corporate plan entitled Creating Tomorrow Together.
The 34-page document does not set out every action the council will take between now and the end of the decade, but it does clearly state our far-reaching and long-term ambitions.
Approved by councillors in 2021, the corporate plan includes the key role we will have in leading the district's recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019.
The name of the plan, Creating Tomorrow Together, is a nod to that work but also inspired by the excellent relationships and networks the council already has - and will build on - for the benefit of all residents. We all have a positive contribution to make in Creating Tomorrow Together.
We look to the future with optimism. The next decade will bring even more significant opportunities for the district.

How was the corporate plan created?
The corporate plan working group first met in September 2019 to discuss the development of a new corporate plan for Folkestone & Hythe District Council. The cross-party group contributed to the plan which reflects our priorities and aspirations for the district over the coming years.
Officers also worked closely with key partners in producing this document.
A draft version of the plan was subject to an extensive and wide-ranging consultation, with nearly 550 residents and key stakeholders responding. A number of changes were made as a result of this feedback.
How will you make sure it continues to be relevant to the district?
Creating Tomorrow Together will be reviewed again in 2024 to ensure it remains appropriate and still reflects the district council's vision for Folkestone & Hythe.
