Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) permit for businesses (on street)

A permit to protect parking for businesses within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) although it doesn't guarantee a parking space.  The business premises address needs to be in the controlled parking zone and the permit can only be used to park in the zone the business is registered in.  A business permit will only allow the employee to park in the controlled parking zone which the business is situation in and the vehicle must be used for the daily running of the business for example florists who need the vehicle close by to load up deliveries.

Business owners can buy permits for vehicles that are essential for running their business e.g., delivery vehicles. They are not issued to get staff to and from work.

Please note that a business permit is not a loading permit and any loading or waiting restrictions will apply.

How it works

The permit holder is allowed to park their vehicle (car, invalid carriage, or goods vehicle) in permit holder and shared use bays in the permit zone during operational hours.

Please note only the vehicle quoted on the permit will be able to park without restriction within the CPZ at any one time.

Blue Badge holders; do not require a permit to park in permit holder or shared use bays.

Before you start

To be eligible, your business address needs to be in a CPZ and your vehicle insurance must show the vehicle is registered for business use.
