Digital and ICT strategy
Our Digital and ICT Strategy focuses on how Folkestone & Hythe District Council uses technology, data and cyber security to support how customers access our services and how staff deliver them.
It takes account of user feedback, national standards and good practice to improve the way we design, deliver and support digital services, while ensuring non‑digital options remain available.
The strategy outlines our commitments to you, our customers.
Our commitment to you
We will:
- keep our systems and your data secure
- protect your personal information and privacy
- design digital services that are simple, accessible and easy to use
- provide clear information using plain English
- offer a choice of ways to contact us, including non‑digital routes
- use technology that is reliable, cost‑effective and environmentally responsible
- support staff with the right tools and skills to help you
- continually review and improve services using feedback and data
- put things right if we get them wrong
The principles are supported by more detailed standards and plans that guide how our technology and digital services are delivered.
