Ways to get involved

Tenant champions for repairs & maintenance, new build, compliance & major works

Our assets & development tenant champions cover all of the above aspects of the housing service. If any of these areas interest you, there are ad hoc projects and activities that we need tenants to be involved in, such as planning, consultation, contract procurement, communications and tenant satisfaction. If you would like to know more, please email: tenant.involvement@folkestone-hythe.gov.uk outlining your main interests. These meetings will not be as regular as the main tenant groups as they are held as and when required, but we will arrange transport and reimburse expenses as required.

Tenant communications champions

We want to hear from you about what you want to hear from us! Whether it is what you would like to see on our website, how we develop 'My Account' to better suit the needs of tenants, how best to inform you of news, such as planned works coming up, and the content, look and feel of our mailings and newsletters.

• Have you ever received a letter from us or our contractors that rubbed you up the wrong way?
• Or felt that there should be an article in our newsletter that affects tenants but wasn’t in there?
• Or tried to find something on our website but found it difficult?
• Or had a great idea that you think would be useful to other tenants in terms of communications?
• Or had no idea why there is work going on at your home or block?

These are all things we would like to get your feedback and suggestions on, so that we can improve our communication with all tenants across the district. The communications champions will be an important and valuable group that we have been planning to introduce for some time and we are recruiting now! We have yet to decide how and when the group will meet, but there will be a mix of in-person and online meetings as well as email and phone communication with champions.
