Apply for Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) permits for residents (on street)

What do I need to provide with my application?

To apply for a controlled parking zone resident’s permit, you will need to provide proof of your address and vehicle ownership/use.  The documents you provide must match the details you put on the permit application and must be current.

Please provide one document from the vehicle evidence list and one document from the residential evidence list

The name, address and vehicle registration number on the document must match the details on your permit application

Vehicle evidence list

  • Insurance schedule
  • V5 document
  • New keeper slip
  • Bill of sale/purchase agreement/lease agreement

Residential evidence list

  • Council tax bill
  • Utility bill
  • Driving licence
  • Tenancy agreement
  • Mortgage statement/completion statement.
  • Bank statement

Company vehicles

You will need to provide

  • a letter from your employer on headed paper confirming your name, address, and vehicle registration.  The letter must state that you are the sole user of the vehicle
  • a copy of the hire/lease agreement or V5 showing the vehicle is registered to the company

For Second Homeowners

You must provide

  • a council tax bill showing that your address is classified as a second home within our district, the council tax bill must show your name, main address and second home address.  The council tax bill must also show that the second home premium has been applied

Courtesy cars

If you're going to be using a courtesy car for less than a week, please contact us so we can arrange to issue a temporary permit.

If you're going to be using a courtesy car for longer than a week, use the parking permit amendment form.
